Calling For Short Story Submissions

Kissed Publications is in the process of releasing the first of a 3-part Christian Anthology project titled, After You’ve Done All You Can. Therefore, we are sending this call for short story submissions.

Only 45 submissions will be accepted. Each story must meet the following criteria:
• Each story must be between 3,000 and 5,000 words.
• The stories must display Christian beliefs and faith in God to bring individuals through the darkest storms.
• The stories must show faith and trust in God as the only answer to the presented trial.
• The story must not contain profanity, vulgar language and/or explicit sex.

Who should participate:
• Authors with a faith-based short story interested in becoming published.
• Authors interested in gaining more exposure for their work and adding other writing credits to their resume.
• Speakers wanting to have their short story in print, enabling them to have a product to sell after workshops, seminars, etc.
• Anyone with a faith-based short story who feels that the Lord would want you to share it, in order to encourage or uplift others.
• Faith-based individuals interested in earning extra money while being a blessing to others.

If this sounds like something you would be interested in contributing to please send an email to kissedpublications@yahoo.com for full details on how you can become a contributing author to this work. The subject line of your email should read “Anthology Inquiry.”

About Me:
My husband George and I are ordained and serve as Christian Counselors who are passionate about helping hurting seekers and believers recover emotionally. Ours is a great commandment ministry, and our counseling is about developing balanced, healthy relationships with God, others and self.

We were inspired to develop a truly unique and effective counseling tool that we use in our sessions that can also be used privately in self help situations. It's an emotional recovery workbook for Christians It's easy to follow, it's simply written, and it's transformed many lives. We pray it ministers to you and those you care about.

When you visit our site, you can order the workbook. You'll also find emotional recovery tips and tools as well as suggestions on how to seek safe support. We look forward to supporting you in any way we can and sharing God's awesome love with you.

Joseph's Continuing Choices

Dear brothers and sisters,
Pastor George and I hope you have had a great week and that your choices have been right in God's sight. This ends the teachings on Joseph's choices, and Pastor George and I have been led in other directions, so we won't be online here as often as we'd like. We'll still be here for you, but getting a reply from us will take a little longer.

Now, back to Joseph. he's in prosion because of something he didn't do and has decided to make the best of a bad situation and do… Continue

Joseph's Choice, Continued

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Pastor George and I hope this week's teachng finds you well and truly blessed in all that He has for you. We're going to expand on Joseph's Choices this week and ask questions that will get you thinking about your life and your relationship with our great God.

We're talked and read in Genesis 37-39 about Joseph's hard times that he truly had no control over: first, he was sold into slavery by his brothers and then he was imprisoned unfairly because of false… Continue

Joseph's Choice, Part 2

Dear brothers and sisters, we pray this has been a good week for you and that you have been love as God is love. We continue with our series on choices, and this is the second one about Joseph. If you've missed others in the series, let us know, and we'll get them to you.

This week's text is from Genesis 39:7-23. When we left off, Joseph was a chief slave in Potiphar's household, and Potiphar trusted him with all that he had, including his wife. Mrs. Potiphar had a roving eye and propositioned… Continue

Grieving the loss of a relationship

Dear brothers and sisters, a dear friend shared with me that he lost the friendship of someone who had been very important in his life. He said he tried to renew the friendship, but the other person was not willing. My dear friend is crushed and grieving, and he is isolating himself from those of us who care about him so very much.

This kind of relationship loss falls into two categories: break-up and betrayal. Both are extremely emotionally painful and recovery can take some time. Both have to… Continue

Joseph's Choice, Part 1

Pastor George and I pray you had a good week and that you will be greatly blessed in the days to come. Hello and welcome to new friends and those we've had the blessing of knowing for a while.

As you see from the title, this week our great God leads us to focus on Joseph. You all know his Joseph story, but if you'd like to refresh your memory, turn to Genesis 37.

Over the weeks to come, we'll see that Joseph had many choices over many years. It's how he chose to think and be that determined th… Continue
